MountainSki.eu concerns on different activites connected with snow or ice in mountains. Main activities are skialpinism and splitboard.
We spent several days with skialpinism and climbing in High Tatras, Slovakia at the end of December 2009. This year we chose cottage Chata pod Rysmi (2250 m). Original invitation is at Zimní výcvikový tábor na Chatě pod Rysmi from 155. Mountaineering club Vsetín. Previous weather was quite changeable including raining also at altituted above 2000 meters. This weather caused that group of freeriders was not riding almost at all. Only Devil-Certink has jumped twice.

Shoes with proper shoe sole is almost impossible to damage in such a way, but if you shoe sole is damaged, it can be very easy.

Winter issue of magazine Koktejl Speciál 2009 will be published at the end of November. There are two articles focused on skialpinism activities in the former Czechoslovakia. Skialpinism in Beskydy mountains are described from Czech side, and High Tatras around Cabin below Solisko (1840 m) are described from Slovak side.
I am currently working in Slovenia this second week of November. There were nice weather today on Wednesday, November 11, so I decided to go several kilometres outside of Ljubljana to ski resort Krvavec, which is situated in altitudes from 1450 to 1970 meters. Terrible summer without snow and skis are over, last skiing was on May 8 during trip Skialpinism at Kamchatka.
Ceremonious intruduction of Calendar HO Kailas 2010 will be held in cinema Artefakt, Slovanská 3, Nový Jičín on Friday, November 13, 2009. Members of this mountaineering club had godd fun with taking these pictures and printing them on glossy paper to size A2.
New issues of German journals Alpin 11–2009 a Allmountain 6.2009 came out into the market in the second part of October 2009. Both of them are full of ski-mountaineering.
Bruder Libor and me have been excited by great snowing in mid October, so that, we started on Saturday morning in direction to our mountains. Our menas, that we have just a short way from Roznov to Radhost (1129 m). We prefer not going directly from our homes, but go around to park our car at Raztoka hotel. Putting skins on our skis we have started climbing.
There occured discussion about Avalanche Ball at Czech forum Outdoorforum. Avalanche Ball is suitable for faster obtaining first contact with the area of person buried by snow avalanche. Some people in this discussion suppose that Avalanche Ball is equipment of the same value and practical usage as ABS Avalanche Airbag System or Snow Pulse, it is convenient to look more in detaile, what Avalanche Ball is, what's its advantages, disadvantages and way of usage.
