I am getting out the chair lift. I have got on it at the hotel  – It is perhaps half an hour, well to be accurate – on the first out of three sections of the lift – First 3-chairlift, then quite fast 4-chairlift and finally 3-chairlift again. Altimeter shows 3000 – about a mile more then the the hotel lies. All around I can see only snowy hills of Caucasus. Incredible great view. It is only twenty hours ago, this hilarious action has began in Prague airport by collecting of clothing and ski – a presents from Hannah. We are on the Hannah expedition.

From 26 to 30 December 2009 classic winter mountaineering camp was held by 155th HO Vsetín. Chata pod Rysmi was chosen as a place of action. Although we are not members, we participated at this event. Weather forecast changed almost every hour and the Christmas rain did not bode well, so the result seems to be at least uncertain, particularly with regard to the freeride riding in powder.

We spent several days with skialpinism and climbing in High Tatras, Slovakia at the end of December 2009. This year we chose cottage Chata pod Rysmi (2250 m). Original invitation is at Zimní výcvikový tábor na Chatě pod Rysmi from 155. Mountaine­ering club Vsetín. Previous weather was quite changeable including raining also at altituted above 2000 meters. This weather caused that group of freeriders was not riding almost at all. Only Devil-Certink has jumped twice.

Between 13 and 21 March I spend time by skiing at Ukraine. The first idea was from my friend Palič, and he agreed with CK Alpina at Zakarpatskou Ukrajinu v zimě for the trip. At the beginning it seems, that we are alone for skimountaneering, but we met two guys from 155. HO Vsetín Petr Šiška, Joséfek and daughter of Petr Šiška. The rest of the group are people from all parts of Czech Republic, including brainless guys from the capital city.

I am currently working in Slovenia this second week of November. There were nice weather today on Wednesday, November 11, so I decided to go several kilometres outside of Ljubljana to ski resort Krvavec, which is situated in altitudes from 1450 to 1970 meters. Terrible summer without snow and skis are over, last skiing was on May 8 during trip Skialpinism at Kamchatka.

I went for trekking to Norway in summer 2008  – Jak jsem se sám poflakoval jižním Norskem. I visited and have good party at Cabin Rondvassbu in National Park Rondane. I agreed with cabin-keeper for a job in winter 2009 for two months. For sure, I took all my ski-alpinism equipment with me.

My favorite book „Nejkrásnější skitúry“ (“Best 50 ski tours”) contains ski tour Winnebacher Weißkogel (3182mnm), so I chosen this mountain and surrounding area as a target for Easters trip. We spent beautiful 5 days at Winnebachseehütte (2362 m) and Westfalenhaus (2273 m).

Bruder Libor and me have been excited by great snowing in mid October, so that, we started on Saturday morning in direction to our mountains. Our menas, that we have just a short way from Roznov to Radhost (1129 m). We prefer not going directly from our homes, but go around to park our car at Raztoka hotel. Putting skins on our skis we have started climbing.

First weekend in April I went to visit my colleague working now in Annemasse (Fr).
For skitouring there were only two days available, locals has recommended to visit
surroundings of mountain hut Rifugio Vittrorio Sella (2588 m), which is located in National park Gran Paradiso in west part of Aosta valley. According to actual conditions we wanted to summit Gran Serra (3552m) and than to do some descents in hut neighbourhood.

Last Saturday in March we have decided again in Vratna dolina, that we will continue to farther Chopok. We took seats in our car and our group continue with pleasant singing to Nizke Tatry. We hope for better skiing conditions. We bought all day ticket for lifts – 22 EUR and we enjoyed great offpiste skiing. Girls weared avalanche beacons with some protests, but beacons were for nothing as almost half of slopes were closen due to bad weather conditions in Jasna.
