Last Saturday in March we have decided again in Vratna dolina, that we will continue to farther Chopok. We took seats in our car and our group continue with pleasant singing to Nizke Tatry. We hope for better skiing conditions. We bought all day ticket for lifts – 22 EUR and we enjoyed great offpiste skiing. Girls weared avalanche beacons with some protests, but beacons were for nothing as almost half of slopes were closen due to bad weather conditions in Jasna.
München ISPO 2009 presented new bindings for alpin tour – Diamir Eagle. This bindigs complete replaces series Diamir Explore. And what about us in this new world will practically ski?
Weather forecast was quite nice (or at least not very bad) for the weekend, so ve decided to go to Karten again. Our goal was to cross Ankogel (3250m) from West to East. Starting close to Hannover Haus (Ankogelbahn bergstation), Klein Ankogel, Ankogel (3250 m), and then descent to Osnabrucker Hutte.
From April 25 to May 10, 2009, a group of Czech and Slovak skialpinists will stay at volcanos and mountains of Kamchatka-peninsula, Far East Russia. I have been using this binding for last season on my K2 Seth’s and now it’s time to reviewed it. I bought it last year because of good results on freeskiing websites and also good experiences of freeskiers all around the world, which I read in comments on pages.
The purpose of this article is not to blame G3 (although some reservations could be found), but to point out certain troubles and shortcomings in included user's guide, troubles you will face in case of trimming skins on your own with provided tools (applies to all current versions of G3 climbing skins). Supporting by companyKAMA we spent a week in different mountains of Bosna and Hercegovina from Feb 20 to Mar 1. From orginal group of 12 people four of them canceled trip just before departure. Five ladies from Frydek-Mistek and surrounding starts to Zlatnik on Saturday Feb 14. Four of us are mothers of small children, we have to promise to our husbands that we will be back at home at about midday.
We spent four days (Dec 27–30, 2008) at Skialpinism Memorial at Chata pod Soliskom (1840 m). Instead of great skiing, Vseta showed us, how to jump 360 deg on his LINE skis. He was satisfied using just small snow heap under waterfall Skok.
We spent four excellent days (Dec 27–30, 2008) at The Solisko Chalet (1840 m) in Slovakian High Tatras. There were marvelous weather and fantastic snow, only in several places there were not enough of the snow. The complete group consisted of 19 people. Clearly Vsetin's part of 10 people was at the Solisko Chalet from Dec 25 to Dec 29, whereas our group filled up the rest of the chalet. Activities started from skialpinism via winter mix-climbs, training in winter climbing and avalanche training.
